Very few will dispute the fact that some of the most gorgeous men and women in the world are those of Latin extraction. Whether they be Cubans, Mexicans, Venezuelans, Argentines, Puerto Ricans, Colombians, or Brazilians, there is no doubt that the many famous faces and bodies that have come from these parts of the world are some of the most beautiful the world has ever seen.
In the world of modeling, Latin models have long been considered very big attractions. Mexico’s Elsa Benitez, for example, is one of them. The cover of the 2001 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, she has appeared in ad campaigns for such names as Óscar de la Renta, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Macy's, Episode, I-N-C, J.Crew, , Rena Lange, Nine West, and Jones New York. She has also done modeling work for Victoria’s Secret, and was in the 1999 Pirelli Calendar. Fellow Mexican Liliana Domínguez, meanwhile, possesses such an exotic beauty that has landed her modeling jobs for some of the biggest names in fashion, including Roberto Cavalli, Paco Rabanne, Dolce & Gabbana, Yves Saint Laurent and Kenneth Cole. Her beauty has also graced the covers of top fashion magazines like ELLE, Vogue, and Glamour.
Argentina is another Latin American country that has produced a number of top Latin models. Among the more successful Argentine models is Valeria Mazza, who appeared in the 1996 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover with Tyra Banks, as well as the covers of Glamour, ELLE, and Vogue. Also enjoying the same level of modeling success is Yamila Díaz, who has the distinction of being the first Latina spokesmodel in Cover Girl history. On top of making the cover of the 2002 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, she has also landed on the cover of magazines such as GQ, Glamour, Maxim, Elle, Shape and many more. She has also done modeling work for the Victoria's Secret catalog, as well as print ads for bebe and Swish jeans.
But of course, no piece on Latin models would ever be complete without mentioning the country which has mounted an invasion of sorts and took the modeling world by storm. From the Portuguese-speaking country of Brazil comes such names as Gisele Bundchen, Alessandra Ambrosio, Ana Paula Araujo, Ana Beatriz Barros, Adriana Lima, Fernanda Tavares, Camilla Finn, Michelle Alves, Ana Paula Araujo, Juliana Imai, Isabeli Fontana and many more.
